Yeah it’s kinda ridiculous, but as the dude that originally posted the video says, it only played on OLN, a channel nobody watches, between 2AM and 4AM, at a time nobody watches anything.
I wonder if they still make that thing, though, because it looks super-handy. If it works as well as it appears to, it seems like it’d be as crucial as hooks and a reel for any fisherman.
Well, I never found de-boning a fish to be that much of a problem, unless you’re catching blue-gills or something else tiny
(which probably wouldn’t work with this thing anyway).
I could also see the fish just tearing to pieces as you yank it done the wunderboner, pieces of fish flying everywhere and a scales left embedded in your gloves or hands.
Still, I haven’t been fishing in years, and this video has made me think about going out and catching something. Where’s a good place to fish around here?
When I lived in Galesburg, IL there were worm vending machines. You would put in your coins and a little plastic cup with soil and worms in it would flop on out. It was great when going on midnight fishing expeditions.
Yeah man, I don’t know the good fishin’ spots, but I have been lookin’ to get back into fishin’. My friend Angie does it down south aways at Bennett Springs (I’ve been there before, it is good). It’s been so long since I fished that I’d look like a rube doing it, but I really wanna go.
Oh yeah, and I did qualify with “if it works as well as it appears to”…boning a fish isn’t a HUGE deal, but it can get messy and obnoxious. If the Wunder Boner makes everything as clean, quick, and easy as they make it seem in the video (unlikely, I’ll admit), it would be worth owning. That’s all.
Really, though, you could probably make your own without too much hassle.
