Is there a possibility of a split ticket candidacy? Dennis Kucinich has been quoted as saying that he would be willing to run with Ron Paul, who is currently running for president as a Republican, as his running mate:

It may all be gossip, but the idea actually appeals to me, especially if they both ran as independents.

It reminds me of a rumor from the last election. There was a notion going around that John Kerry was going to pick John McCain as his running mate, though nothing could be confirmed as far as I know.
