Apparently the “You! Me! Dancing!” video is part of a series. This song is called “We Throw Parties, You throw Knives”.
It’s strangely mesmerizing; it reminds me a bit of the cult classic “Heavy Metal”.
Is this supposed to be a funny play on comparing wars and violence to parties and dancing? A snapshot of a warped and twisted alternate reality where death and destruction are the only diversions? Is it a bit of dark humor set to an indie beat?
The refrain on this song goes as follows:
[:B:]There’s red stains all over the place
They’re not blood, they’re cherryade
We throw parties, you throw knives
It’s only the same if the fizzy drinks are nice[/:B:]
Seems like they’re comparing wars to parties. I guess it makes sense, both require preparation, costumes, gear, etc…
Or perhaps it is just meant to be taken as it is: just imagery matching music.

Well… perhaps its like “The Wall” but more about dangerous fun and club culture than existential doubt and schizophrenia. [:coffee:]
