This was a mural done in a local laundromat near where I live.

This is a bumper sticker I found while driving home. Made me chuckle.

OHPAAAA!!! This is the “Flaming Cheese” being served at the Olympia Kebob House on McCausland.

Finally, here is one of my cats, Jane. This is one of the better pictures I have of her as she tends to be camera shy and generally winces when the flash starts up. I caught her in the sunbeam where the flash wasn’t needed.
WARNING: contains some animated nudity and genital humor. It’s about a man who suddenly wakes up one day as a beautiful woman. Sigh… why couldn’t that ever happen to me?

I live in the metro-east area of St. Louis, which was recently hit by a powerful and dangerous ice-storm, leaving many without power as the trees became so heavy with ice they collapsed under their own weight and severed electrical lines from here to Chicago. No power and no internet is an intolerable situation for many, so my friends and I found ourselves at a geek refugee camp in our local St. Louis Bread Company were we spent pretty much the last two days at using their free internet, drinking coffee, and sharing programming and designing tips with other developers.
While this all proved quite inconvenient and many businesses were closed and losing money, it was a beautiful sight with all the tress covered with glistening ice and the grass coated with fresh snow (and more ice). I took this opportunity to capture some of the beauty of the season:

I have around 20 more of them post in the comment section of this post:

Has anyone else noticed how much Cardinals manager Tony LaRussa and BattleStar Galactaca’s Admiral Adama look and act alike:

Both can often be seen standing still with no emotion showing except a tightly clenched jaw and a steely glare, and when they do move it’s often to pick up a telephone and give orders.
I do know LaRussa is a bit of a fun fellow when not in a game, an Edward James Olmos, who plays Adama, is quite a colorful character as well. I just wonder if Ron Moore used LaRussa as his inspiration for the character.
I’ve had this song stuck in my head for the past 12 hours:
“Noah’s Ark” by Coco Rosie
They look a bit like the Brunnen G from Lexx.
