		<description>It&#039;s a mix of &quot;ol&#039; timey&quot; nostalgia combined with a bit of a &quot;wild west&quot; feel.  The movie Metropolis of course had a lot to do with it, but the Cyberpunk movement was probably where it first really came from.  Making things all future-y and yet ancient at the same time, like elves in space (Vulcans).

I&#039;m not that into it either, but I always thought it was an interesting twist on things, though I guess a bit overdone.

Really, all you need to do to make a Steampunk outfit is a pair of brass-rimmed goggles and some leather boots.  Trench coats and hats designed in the late 1800s help too.</description>
